FAQs
Can you support our business if we already have an IT team or person?
Yes! We can and often do, work in conjunction with IT staff. Depending on business needs, we can provide strategic direction, be hands on with day to day activity, or simply review current processes, procedures and practices and align them with best practices and official benchmarks.
Do I need to be a long term customer or sign a contract to get support?
Not always. We offer out-of-contract services for emergency support, audits, or one-off consultancy work. For these out of contract services, all lengths and terms are discussed and made to what suits you and your business. We do ask you to negotiate!
For ongoing care, our Pawn, Rook, and Knight packages provide flexible, affordable monthly options.
What’s included in your Cybersecurity audits?
Our Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Audits assess your network health, performance, and compliance against industry best practices - complete with a tailored report and action plan. For a fee, we can even give access to our benchmarks.
How do I get started?
We can start with a no-obligation IT health check or consultation. Just fill in the form on our contact page, and we’ll get back to you and recommend the right service level for your organisation or next steps.
Do I need to have any IT knowledge for a consultation or IT health check / site survey?
It does help having IT knowledge and experience, but it’s not a must-have. We try and eliminate any jargon and buzzwords to keep things simple. We work with you and find out any causes for concern, areas of improvement and overall standing of your organisations’ IT.
Does KnightShift IT need access to our network?
For our long term support i.e. Pawn, Rook, and Knight plans, KnightShift IT will require access to your network and IT infrastructure. This includes logins (domain accounts), installing software on your network for remote support, and patch management software. This information is all provided when onboarding as a client.
Out of contract services and any fixed term periods usually do not require such access, unless prearranged and agreed by yourselves prior.
